03s have some issues you need to think about
-the trans warranty extension does not apply to all of them and acura is getting lees generous with the Goodwill on those- thats 4000 dollars!!!
there was a recall for timing belt pulley - need to see if that was ever done

Plus sounds like an idle control prob- might be throttle body failure, but service dept can plug in the scanner and diagnose
Salesman always say its nothing!!

see the many threads here on buying a car
Also look in the Off Topic link at top of pages, then scroll down and see Member cars for sale- thats the first place to look for a known good car

Its RPM not rmp. If the car has sat for awhile the IACV was probably just a little stuck. If it went normal after a bit of driving every thing is fine.
I agree with 01tl4tl. Let them know your aware of the tranny problems, have them tell you if its covered under the trans warranty extension or not, and see if they will offer you any thing if it isnt.

Forget the word RECALL on these cars. It means NOTHING. REMEMBER the word warranty Extension.. If it has the warranty extension you should be ok If not you may not want it. Take the vin and go to acuras site. Register it under acuras owner link and see if it still qualifies, or call acura client services and ask. Read the trans threads here for more info

You can likely get that $13K down to $10K no one is selling used cars right now.

Contact the previous owner for info about maintenance, problems, etc. Do some research before you sign....

Offer them 11K, if they're desperate, they'll probably take it. But first find out if the car's VIN is covered under the transmission warranty extension.
