What is the cheapest solution to replace my 2003 Acura TL S key? Should I go to the dealer or call AAA as I have premier membership which includes $100 locksmith service. I see I can get a key slug on ebay for around $15 as well. Any advice?

Go with AAA, they will be cheaper. Dealerships usually try to rape your wallet.

So I went with AAA and got a new transponder key made - works great. Fast forward a week later and I found my original key, it no longer works - engine cranks but no start. Is this normal behavior after getting a new transponder key made? I figured the identical programming would be used but apparently not given the new key I had made starts the car fine but the original just cranks with no start.

Yes once they program a new key it changes the code, only way to get both to work is have AAA program both keys.
