03 tl transmission removal
Have everything ready to drop the trans but there is still one bolt holding the trans and engine together... It right above the passenger side cv/half shaft. I have tried everything I can think of to break this bolt loose to finish pulling this trans. Can I get some ideas that may help with this problem, wanted to get this av6 swap done tonite but it's not looking good

Tap the the head the bolt with a hammer, spray PB blaster and let it sit over night then reapply again, use a 1/2 or 3/4 ratchet that is like 3 feet long (or slide a pipe on the end of ratchet to make it longer thus increasing torque), or some may say use an impact wrench. Have you tried any or all of these things?

I used 3 long extensions and slid them thru the passenger side wheel well so that i could get good leverage on it.

I found it easier to pull the half shafts. I used a 1/2 drive X3 a breaker bar and a long pipe over the end. The transmission comes out easier too with less chance of screwing the ends up.

So 180 miles on the rebuild and it happened. Flashing D5. The speedometer would work and stop. It stayed in 5 gear getting me home except for the last 5 miles. I had 1 & 2 the last 5 miles and they were good. When I went to park it, it had the lockout to reverse.
I have not hook the tester to it and will have the codes in the morning. Up to this point it ran like a raped ape.
