Getting my first TL-S on Wednesday (very excited) and one of my co-workers just bought an '03 4 door G35 auto. Both are bone stock, just wondering what you guys think of that race. I know the horse power ratings are identical, but the G35 is supposed to have more torque. Would I get smoked or what? Let me know what you think.

They're pretty much even I think. Unless it's the G35x, its AWD so it might get a better start

They are quick but you should be able to take it. Depends on the driver. I havent lost to one yet.

I think it will really depend on who gets the jump start up to 100 mph but after that, I am pretty sure that G will take the TL-S.

Maybe TL-S will have a little edge upto 100 mph if drivers are equal because of VTEC.


The reason for that is, on a TL-S, up to 3rd gear TL-S really pulls. Especially when the VTEC kicks in but once you go to 4th, it will be a while before the VTEC kicks in.

TL's in general have low gear ratio after 3rd. It seems like TL's have 2 Over Drives ((4th & 5th).

Thats been one of the complaints lots of TL owner had when the TL-S first came out.
