03 Foglights bulb swap

Has anyone replaced the bulbs yet in the 03 foglights? If so, how difficult was it and what is the best bulb to use for the closest match to the headlights?

I've searched for an answer to this question, but all I come up with is the DIY for the 01 driving lights and the recommended 19224 replacement bulb - does this apply to the 03 foglights as well?

Very easy. Takes about 20 minutes. You'll need a 10mm socket and an extender. If you'd dropped, a lift is helpfull but not required. I'm using PIAA Extreme Whites and it's a pretty close match (until I got the 6k HID). I'm an idiot with tools, so it I could do so I'm sure you can too

Good luck,

Joe

u just need to unscrew the 2 bolts under the front lip, then ur whole housing comes out, and after that it's just simply unplug and plug back in the new bulb. Very easy... as for the color, i don't know cuz i use yellow bulbs. It's about a 30min job. Good Luck

Whizzbomb - which PIAA bulbs do you use - is there a model number?

TLSAnthracite - which yellow bulbs do you use? Might look into those too...

I agree with Bxscig.
Only way to get those deep yellow color is to get those yellow film on the housing or get PHILIPS 3000K rebased hid kit for fog. This is what I am planning on doing.

How much would that setup cost? And how do you think that would look with my 6k headlights?

Thanks,

Joe

Even that yellow film sucked. I put halogen, 4300k HIDs and 6000k HIDs behind the yellow film and it was good and looked nice but not as deep as the IS300's fogs. Also, the look of the yellow film during the day takes some getting used to. The 3000ks is a good way to go and I had wanted to see how it looks first, remember to post pictures of all the parts and install
