Guys,
I bought a 03 6 disc changer from a forum member. At max volume, the radio is sound like it's only at 1/4 of the volume. Also, I'm getting a Er-E1 when trying to use the cd. He has a 03 CL-S 6 and I have a 99 TL.



Above is my old player. I never had a connector for the bottom left. The 6 disc changer, doesnt have the top left connector. What the heck??

 

U just got dicked! CL radio's are not interchangeable with TL radios. If you wanted for it to work you have to get an 02-03 6CD from A TL. The CL's are made a bit differently and can never be modified into getting it to work in a TL.

You can try to swap it for a TL radio at a junkyard if they can do it for you or try finding someone who needs a CL radio and get rid of it!!!.

 

hmm...the radio volume seem like it's going through the navi. Great...

 

source? I just open the changer and there's a cd stuck in there....

 

i got the same prob to my deck says ere1 to i think

 

open it up to see if you have a jammed cd. It's only a few screws.

 

Do you have navi? If so did you buy a radio that came from a Cl with navi???

 

The big problem, as mentioned above by MOBB, is that the TL and CL head units are not interchangeable.

The speaker and amplifier set-ups in the CL and TL are different.

 

that makes sense. The Tl uses a rear subwoofer & rear door speakers while the Cl uses tweeter and 6x9's in the rear. Sweet thanks for the info

 

which set up sound cleaner and louder the TL's or CL's??

 

stock for stock I prefer the CL's, but once speakers are upgraded I prefer the TL with 6.5" components in all 4 doors with 4 tweeters & a rear sub

 

i opened it up i toke the face off and everything. when i first plug in the deck it made a sound but after i push the code and stuff thats what i get. how do i get the cds out
