02 TL-S , the lights for the shifter position under the console turn on and off intermittently. You can hit the side of the console to make them come on or off...so it seems there is a loose connection.

Are there any DIYs or tutorials on how the console comes apart right there?

 

you can change the bulb just by screwing off the knob, popping out the trim and taking the shift plate off. theres a DIY that shows you how to do it
