i need to replace my PCM! im getting obdII code P1607 which is an internal failure in the pcm which keeps me from being able to drive my car when i start it in very cold weather. i have to wait for it to fully warm up than turn it off and back on before it gets going. i have my hands on a pcm from an 01 tl but the question is, will it work in my 99? is it compatible? the same? let me know of any known differences and if it will work... thanx

 

it wont, you have a 4spd that pcm works with a 5spd

 

wont work. You need a 99. Also you will need to take it to the dealer. You wont be able to start your car, they will have to reprogram it to your immobilizer chip in the key.
