'00 rear view mirror

So my '00 rear view mirror has stopped 'tinting' at night. Where do I get one at a reasonable price?

Anyone installed one themselves?

Thanks,

Rob

Through about August of last year Magna Donnelly was sending free replacements out.

See this thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...1&page=1&pp=25

But they haven't been sending them out since.

You should be able to find one for about $100 online. I think that was the price I was quoted before I was able to get a free one from Magna Donnelly.

As you'll see from the linked thread, the fluid in the mirror can leak and damage your interior. So don't wait too long before replacing it.

And you can replace these yourself. I replaced mine using instructions and photos in the linked thread. As a caution, you can crack your windshield if you're not careful.

Beware online units- most will be the original design with the fatal flaw~
If the seller cant say how they got a fesh one from Magna or paid 150 at the dealer for one, watch out

THanks Bob for the link... I've emailed Dani and Heath at Magna and am going to seek a replacement from them under a warranty.

Yes, beware of buying a replacement mirror that has the old design. The $100 online quote that I mentioned above was through an Acura dealership's online sales group. (Acura of Escondido) I was told that it was the new design.
