My SRS light came on permanently yesterday and I made an appointment with Acura for tomorrow morning. How serious can this be? What will they usually check and how long will this take?

 

Search for "SRS light".

 

You can reset it yourself if you do a search....but again, if you have time, have the dealer check it out would be best.

 

I brought my car in for the very same problem. They first reset the SRS and told me a cellphone near the seat can set the SRS sensors off. A week later the SRS light came back on and they replaced the sensor in the passenger seat. Acura had to pull back the leather on the seat to replace sensor

 

Thanks for all the advice. I brought my car in and Acura said that it was a mechanical error and that nothing was wrong with my car so they reset it. An hour after I left, the light came back on, and I had to arrange for another appointment. I'll ask about replacing the sensor and see what happens.
