Post **TL-S Owner Count/Satisfaction Level**

Please post the next consecutive number if you own a TL-S and rate the car from 1 to 10 on Q -- quality, P -- performance, O -- overall. This might be interesting!

Q 9.0
P 8.0
V 8.0
O 8.5

Summary: I rate the car very good overall but not excellent. I'm not sure what it is but the TLS is just not that exciting to drive unless you are gunning the accelerator. Handling is good but not nimble. The car feels heavy around sharp turns. I would say good handling for a heavy car but that type of statement should be reserved for a Cadillac. Anyone else feel this way? I only have 300 miles logged so far so this is not my final review.

I think I would have rated the Value higher if they gave me a discount. After the goodies I added to the car it is an "11"

A perfect 10 for me means no mods.
So this is as close as it comes.

Yelgen, how can you give the car perfect 10s and then a 1 for value. Was this a typo?

Evaluate against my expectation of this car or against other cars?
This car satisfied my expectation in almost every way.
It's been only less than 3 weeks though.
The only 2 catagory I couldn't give 10 would be 1. seats.....still having backache (even though those are very very nice seats)
2. Gas mileage (I expected close to 28 or 29 MPG by my second tank, but I got 22.7. For every Honda I own, after breaking in, they all exceeded the MPG stated)

I've noticed that too! Almost got me in a sticky spot when I went to do a U-Turn and had to back up a bit! It seems that the TL-S has a larger turning circle than my old 99TL. Must be due to the bigger wheels(?).

Hey man, I bought a '98 Rodeo and it was always back in the shop from day 1 for problem repairs. I understand the issue you're having w/ your Acura, and I urge you to do what I did and contact the BBB and the BBB Autoline and pursue your case. We'll make you an Acura fan yet!

According to the brochure, the base TL has a turning circle of 36.8' and the TL-S has a turning circle of 40.0'

20 days, 1100 miles, STILL more fun than the GS400, getting better MPG (25 avg) and running faster. Is quicker in SS with VSA off! Holds 1st gear up to red line

I'm very curious to know what specifically aobut the TLS is more fun than the GS400. I've always thought the GS400/430 were extremely cool, well-engineered cars and tought to beat in all departments (i.e. perf., speed, quality...)?

I can't agree with you more on the 98 Rodeo, We bought one, and like you said, its been in the shop every month! I don't even know how much it cost us to repair this and that. Then my sister got into an accident and completely killed the front end of the car. Cost over $10,000 to fix. Lucky the insurance covered it, what a nightmare! Never will I buy a SUV again! Btw, that is not the worse part. It has to be the most bumpiest vehicle on earth and the car feels like its gonna crumble any moment, build quality=0 ;( Sorry for the venting, just had to get it out. But if it weren't for that, I won't buy my TL

Q=9 I am starting to believe Acura's paint isn't that good, own the car for 2 months, chips everywhere
P=9.5 Fast but kinda slow pick up
O=9 If only they have more head room, softer and quieter ride, it would be purrrrfect!

I love the engine of this car. It looks almost like the TL but it drives totally different. I find the handling to be almost perfect (as perfect as it can get for a front wheel drive). I don't like the fact that you can't downshift from 2nd to 1st gear in the SS mode. I used to do this a lot on my 99 TL. I also don't like the fake wood in the ebony interior. It looks way too cheap! My 99 TL had a much nicer cherry wood imitation. Overall I would say that this car has an excellent value.
