Would it be a good idea to change the plug wires too? or just a waste? I'm almost at 100K.

I ran Bosch Plus Fours in my 2001 CL and saw a slight improvement, particularly with mid-grade gas. The Fusions are similar. The car would never hesitate or ping, and ran smoother at idle.

I changed the originals out at 60K, sold the car at 70K. I'm not a Bosch fan, but these worked out OK.

Since it was not a type-S, I don't know if I would see any improvement in my TL-S. Plus, that one passenger side back plug is a pain with a torque wrench. Still have the scars. When I I hit 50K, maybe I'll swap.

I heard they are hard to take out, any suggestions? tools I should use to make life easier?

They are very easy to do. Simply unplug then remove the allen bolt and pull the coil pack straight up. Then remove the plug. The rears are the hardest just due to having to lean over the motor. Grab a old blanket and lay it on the motor and lay on it. You can remove the strut brace to make changing the plugs easier but the time wasted doing that you could work around it in the same time. If you have a Type-S remove the 2 bolts that hold the 2nd stage actuator inplace and move to the side

A 9 inch extension or a 6 and 3 inch extension to your ratchet will really help in the back plugs.
Make sure your spark plug socket has a rubber insert or other way to hold onto the plug after you get it loose.
Can be a real pain fishing the plug out otherwise

Use a small amount of anti-sieze on the new plug threads to help them go in easy.
Attach a piece of the ever popular ~spare~ vac line, fish tank air line or similar- the size that will slip over the round tip of the spark plug.
Use it to lower the plug into the hole and then twist it to hand start the threads
so there is no way to cross-thread!
I believe the torque spec is 13 ft lbs- is that correct fsttyms?
