I was going to go through the dealer but they just rip people off. Thanks to the community here I found a local guy in NJ that only works on honda, he will do the timing belt, water pump etc, for 650, I am purchasing all the parts myself and he is only charging me 350 for labor, PS, he is also installing my UR pully set!!!!

Lesson learned/Ask up front. You'd be surprised how much lower the price will be if you just ask. You handed them a blank check by not asking. "Oh lets see, we are a little behind in our monthly income at the Acura garage, BABA (the techs. real name) you won't get your year end bonus if you don't make up the $$$." Well, guess you paid for the Christmas Bonus. Belts, W. Pump, Tensioner, etc. cost them no more than $100 to $150. Yea, you got ripped. Let's see=they charged you about $200 per hour for the labor. OH, shoot=those shop rags and disposal fees add up too. Dang!

I had them (Dealer) replace my headlight unit and such, insurance was "paying", but Allstate told me it was a 1.5 hour job, and thats what the dealer charged, but their system said it was 2.5 hours. So ask around, could help, can't hurt.
