Post "Almost Luxury ?"

In some reviews, TL is called "almost luxury". Is this classification lower than "entry level luxury" ?

Is "sport luxury" more appropriate ?

They were probaly raggin on the TL by using that term. The are classified as entry level luxury.

Where are these reviews so we can ping attack them?

Besides, wouldn't you want reviews from actual owners instead of a place that just regergitates what they read from other car reviews??

I could not find the exact review.I read way too many sites. How would you like a classification of "luxury sport sedan" ? This one may fit the most.

E-dub... damn, I saw the Kings logo and had to comment. I HATE THE KINGS!!! Go Lakers and I hope Shaq stomps their flopping asses again today!

Hahaha, but on the real, I hate the damn Kings. Should be a great series, though. PEACE.

JATLIFE - Its all good!!
Gotta root for who you like. Lakers are my #2 Fav team. ShaqDaddy is definately a force in the middle.
But, I get to root for two teams instead of one.

So no matter who wins I love to watch the game.

Intira,
Luxury Sport Sedan to me is more like a GS400 or M5 or 540i. The TL-S is nice but still can't be called luxury YET. But hey, maybe soon. That or Honduh will be smart and introduce something brande new like they did with the S2000, this was very cool.

But as Honduh has done before, they'll always be playing catch up.

I write for an auto publication and we use the term "near-luxury" for this price range and style of car.

I can't remember which magazine I was reading but they came up with a "luxury car" definition by whether or not there was a luxury car tax imposed on the sale of the vehicle.

So I looked for what the current luxry tax level is and according to Edmonds' website
http://www.edmunds.com/edweb/news/LuxuryTax.html

a luxury car is now any car costing over $38,000!

"Near Luxury" or "Almost Luxury" does not capture the essence of the car which attempts to combine "sport" with "luxury". With this concept you cannot go too far with luxury because it will hurt performance.

How about an "entry level sport luxury sedan" ?

I read somewhere where the TL is considered a "Upscale Sedan".
