Tein dont have SS to my knowledge. They made CST. I have CST with the EDFC. Supposely CST is somewhat to have a comfortable set up. There are a few good reputable online shop where you can search here. But here is one you might consider:

i know EDFC lets you adjust the firmness... BUT.... assuming you have the Tein CST w/ EDFC... how firm/soft can you set it?

can you set it and it will ride as smooth/plush as stock AND get it as firm as aspec ... at push of a button or does it not change a whole lot..

i used to have an S60R with the OEM adjustable suspension and there were three settings... you couldn't tell much differenet between "comfort" and "sport"... BUT "advanced" was stiff as all hell.. so to me, it was like "soft" and "frickin firm".... which was fine.. i liked the adjustability...

is EDFC like that...enough adjustment that you truly CAN feel it.. and can you get a soft / plush ride AND sporty firm...or does it become variosu grades of "firm".... ??

oh yeah - how MUCH DOES IT COST???? lots I bet... worht it???

I had Tein SS on my 06 TL with the EDFC and I can feel a different as far as softness and stiffness. As for my RL the CST is pretty soft depending on what size tires and rims you have. I have 20s and if I set my EDFC at the softest, I can feel a minimum amount of bumpiness. But if I set at the hardest, I can feel it very stiff and tight when I make tight turns. It really depends on what set up you prefer. If you want to stay at the stock spec, but want a better handlings, I think best you can do is get an A-Spec Suspension. Tein CST with EDFC cost around $1800

I thought about the A-Spec package also, but I want to get the TEIN because of the adjustable of the stiffness.

As for the price, the cheapest i found was $1666+$35 ship for the TEIN Damper Coilovers set, and the EDFC is about little less than $400.

KB1Spec,

Did you install the TEIN yourself? If not, how much did you pay for the installation?

Thanks,

I forgot how much because I had a lot of stuff installed on my RL at once. I think some places charges like $150-$200 just the tein suspension. Adding the EDFC cost a little more because it is harder to do and have to run wires from both the front and back meaning taking off some panels on the rear.

$1666 is a good price but it is special order from Japan. My friend's shop at Impex Motorsport went directly to Tein at Downey and the rep at Tein said I was lucky because my set of CST was the last set.

Oh I didnt put on the center console. I just put it underneath the right side of the steering wheel column. You can able to put inside the coin box if you take out that coin box assembly.
