Rim Shopping for my RL

im looking to get some new rims for my RL since spring is coming and I want to add the Aspec kit in the summer so I need to swap on some wheels n tires
I want 19s but i havent completely thrown away 18s ( i would get the aspec 18s)

hub size 64.1
patter 5x120
8-9 width
245/40/19 or 255/40/19 tires

where does everyone shop rims from ebay? I want an OEM style rim ive looked at the honda accord 19s which match the specs needed ive also looked at the OEM 19" TL wheels which ive asked about before on this forum

where else can I shop for wheels online besides ebay? Ive also looked at AME FS01 rims but I dont see them in the 5x120 only 5x114

Thanks guys

Check the black market here and also Kijiji. You might have luck in BMW forums also as they use 5x120 also.

I saw a few rims with a 71 mm hub bore.. is that something I can work with when rim shopping or it has to be 64.1?

Your best bet would be BMW OEM wheels. Hubcentric rings are like 20 bucks. You can also check out craigslist

so would these work? With some spacers and the hub rings?

what kind of BMW oem rims would look good? e46 style csl rims or M6 rims? I never considered looking BMW oem but I will post picture once I do some research so I can gain some perspective to how the Rl will lol

Hopefully I will have my Vossen CVT wheels and tires for sale in a month or so if interested. They have hub rings and tpms but are 20" and the rears are 10.5" wide though.

Ohhh shit look who replied lol

20s are too big.. on my GS I had 265/35/20 and I had 6 flats in 9 months .. NJ potholes ideally I want 18s but I don't think I have it in my heart to ride on 18s so I want 19s with max performance tires and come fall ill switch to winter tires

ideally I want the TL oem 19s they used to be 700 shipped on eBay and now they r $1300

im curious to see the 19" accord sport rims on the RL since I have my calipers painted but idk I think it'd look weird

They should work yea.

As for BMW wheels, you need to find what you like. I'm running 19" 745i wheels. Just remember that the BMW wheels are generally a lower offset. Mine are +24, +14 in the front with the 10mm spacer to clear the calipers. Ride height and tire size will be a big factor to how it looks.

There were at least two members from years ago that ran BMW wheels or knockoffs. Razz and guss_90. Razz's pictures were deleted after we didn't like them (black wheels on a blue car), and I can't seem to view Guss' pictures in Korea. Maybe they will load for you.

If you are afraid of cracking or bending a rim but looking to spend less than $700 for all 4 wheels, I assure you, bad times are ahead.

Yeah, if you go BMW, make sure 100% they are authentic. Otherwise, I wouldn't spend anything less than TSW on new wheels.

I'm most likely going to get the 19" OEM Acura TL rims from the 4G, those rims with the Aspec kit and with how pristine I keep my car it'll look good ( I hope) lol

there's a few on eBay but way over priced I've been watching these wheels for awhile now I called a couple places too but not available until May and someone's selling a set in the black market but I haven't heard back

20 mm seems excessive and will require extended studs. MDX wheels only need 5 mm to clear the RL BBK.

4G TL wheels have been run on the RL here. I'm sure you can find the user if you try.

Yeah I forget his name but I spoke with him a while back I bumped his thread too.. he runs 3/4 spacers but im not familiar with mounting wheels I thought I needed them in order to mount the wheels but im seeing they are only for the look so as long as the 4G TL rims mount as is ill save the couple bucks for the future.. those super sports werent cheap for these 19s lol

I'm fairly certain it was 6mm spacers that was run on those TL wheels? But those were a different design. 20mm is WAY excessive IMO.... I'm glad you got Super Sports, I'm sure the prices have dropped with the Pilot 4S getting released. You'll enjoy them!

I looked at the new michelins too but this RL is no where near needed to have those tires equipped

Do I need spacers like the 6mm in order for them to fit on my RL? I am hoping to have these rims and tires mounted by the weekend even if it is too early

I also splurged on buying new exhaust tips 4.5 in and the trunk lip spoiler.. I have OEM paint so easy DIY ill post pics in my build thread on here

I believe 6MM was run on another TL design and that worked out. I've been debating on switching out myself since I have my Camry to run in the snow but the temps aren't holding warm enough for me to feel comfortable. The Super Sports turn into rocks below certain temps.

I had SS on my Buick with the 20" chrome and when it got snow they really did turn into rocks thats exactly them lol

So idk what the verdict is here.. will I need spacers in general to mount these new rims to be fitted correctly or dont I?

You'll more than likely need some sort of spacer to clear the front calipers

You definitely need a spacer. The exact size I don't know.
