Here's some pics of an RL I snapped at work.. Its slammed on a set of Rennen Forged RM7 wheels with 20x10 in the front and 20x11.5 rear. The poke/stretch came out flawless. What do you guys think?

yea, this car was on ebay, kept some tabs on it, the guy wanted over 40k I believe. I get the 20k in mods but...they're worth close to nothing at sale unless you get someone just as crazy are you are about them and are willing to pay full price (generally non existent as those people like to do it themselves).

037, the auction is posted in ambiguous' thread. He's down to $38k. He could also only list $19k worth of mods with cheap tires. Yeah man, you spent over $20k on mods, and why do I give a shit as a buyer? I don't know what funnier, this guy or the auction.

i have a pile of extra parts; why? cause in my mind i have myself believing i am going to keep my rl forever and if anything went wrong i have these extra parts. prob not gonna happen lol

smart thing to do would be put your mod savings account towards a new car!!

Like others have stated here, mods are worth $0 when sold with the car. Have you read the guy's description? You can tell from reading his writing that he would be as dishonest as possible to get more money. His English makes him sound like he barely received a HS degree. Would you pay full price for a $3k set of wheels wrapped with $750 tires that have been driven on? How about a body kit that has a curb rash on it?

When I sell something, I ask what I would be willing to pay or less, but that's b/c I'm an honest person and have a conscience. So am I calling him out for being a greedy tool? Hell yes. Just like I called out TJay when he was trying to sell his mods for the price of them new today. His response to me was, "Well I payed a hundred more for it when I bought it!" So what? It's not worth that new, and no one gives a shit you got a bad deal. It is only worth what someone will pay him for it, and unless some ignorant little boy comes along with daddy's money to buy his first car, this car is not going to sell for more than $30k. KBB for his car in immaculate condition with CPO is less than $26k. He is selling his heavily modded car "As Is". He has been running a staggered setup that, if not properly matched, can cause the transfer case to burn up. Only a fool would buy it. But then again, a fool and his money are soon parted.


And to make things clear, I have cheap mods. I have spent ~$400 on modding this RL. I am not worthy of being as cool as the bad ass modders here who put all of their money into an investment that will never appreciate. That should set the record straight. I don't hate people who want mod their cars and want to show them off; to each his own. I dislike people who are dishonest to fill their wallets. The problems with society today almost all revolve around greed.

I drive on $700 summer tires and they are bad @$$...but that car is all about the look, I'm not sure there's a huge purpose behind it.

a show car is what it is, 4 show. With that setup good tires would be like $500/each.

either way...he can ask what he wants because nobody ever counts for labor...

either way, to each their own.

For me...I think I'll be driving stock for awhile, I'm not even looking to LED enterior anymore even though it bugs me...much.

I'm just talking about in terms of quality. The only difference between the DW and the DWS is tread design and rubber compound. Everything on the inside is the same.

What is the point of gloating that you spent $XX,000 on mods unless you are trying to justify why someone should pay your outrageous price? Then to list the mods, and you can't even come up with $20k including tires? Last time I checked tires are sort of necessary to driving the car away from the sale. Unless they are worn, they should have no bearing on the price. I don't list my DWS in my mods. Unless you have some pretty special tires, they don't really count as a mod worth paying for, especially if they are cheaper than the tires that come on the car stock.

I never said my tires were the best or any better than his. In fact, almost every review I have given has stated that they were cheap and a great value. TireRack has the DWS ranked at 8.5 and the Yokos at 8. The DW are ranked 8.8. The Yokos he has are about $100 cheaper than comparable Michelins (Pilot Super Sport) that the factory would have used in that size. Those SS are ranked 9.2.

I also have experience with cheap Yokohamas, albeit YK420s, and they were LOUD with poor grip. All I am saying is that listing them in the mod list isn't helping convince a potential buyer to overpay for his car.

One more thing. He is listing his car as running 340 HP. That is one of the most ludicrous things I have read on this forum, and it only furthers my belief that he is a dishonest and greedy tool.

Alright, heres the point: very nice and clean car. Maybe there was major photo shopping involved in those pictures which makes it look 5 times better then in person.

- Nice wheels but personal taste (buyer will have to like them as well). like the others have said those wheels specs are horrible for our sh-awd. this is not a bmw x awd system where staggered setup is permitted.

- Exhaust System; some may like it but it will definitely detract buyers because it is not stock and prob louder. looks shinny. lol

- Big brake kit; looks and performs awesome lol cons are replacing brake pads for someone who drives many miles and stock wheels will not fit without spacers.

- Teins CS coilover - Awesome!!!

Wow 4 major things!! the car is just very clean and kept in awesome condition but still doesn't justify the crazy asking price. i would not buy this car. nothing really crazy about it. i only see reasons not to buy the car.

DWS are a great all season tire, the best in my opinion. Had them for a winter season and beyond plowing everything with the belly cause of ride height they handled everything like a champ. If I was ever to buy 1 tire dry, wet, snow, DWS without a 2nd thought.

now if you want summer and can't afford PS2's or SS's my DW's are performing unbelievably and scary for a car that's good 5 feet longer than the MDX, or so it feels.
