Pax issue continues

So I decided to take my RL to the dealer to get the PAX error on the MID reset. These are the steps they took to troubleshoot, by the way I am using AME FS 01 Tracer rims 18"

1. The rotated the tires and the error message still appeared.

2. They checked the TPMS sensors.

3. They took off the tires mounted on another 06 RL which gave them the same PAX error message.

So I was left with the news from the dealer that the rims for whatever reason are causing the error message.

I am told I have to live with the error message.

Not sure what those of you have done who's run flat tires have worn out and are now using after market wheels.

This is quite frustrating. Those of you who have attempted to help me I thank you. I even asked if they could reprogram the computer and they stated they tried that to no avail.

I look forward to resolving this some time soon . I won't give up and I know with the help of AZINE community we can work together to resolve this issue. Enjoy your weekend

This is ridiculous....There has to be a way to shut off this message. There were 2006s that came with PAX and those that did not, right?

So somewhere embedded in the electronics is a 'switch' of sorts to tell the car whether PAX is installed or not.

This really needs to go to a engineer at ACURA. I'm not familiar with the Acura computer systems, but there has to be a module that can either be a) Replaced or B) Reprogrammed.

Is it in the gauge cluster? Body Control Module? It has to be somewhere...

Sorry to hear about your problems. Unfortunately I think the answer is going to lie within an engineer at Acura.

Does anyone on some of the other forums have Acura contacts?

Very frustrating. Not sure why those AME wheels would cause an issue, since this is not the first time these have been installed on this car. Regardless, some questions for my own curiosity.

Earlier, you said it was driver rear that gave you the low pressure warning.

Did they mark that particular wheel, reset the PAX, and still got the same warning?

When the warning went off in another 06, was it an 06 Tech Package?

Did the same wheel cause the error, or was it random wheels?

What did checking the TPMS entail? They dismounted the tires and checked the TPMS on each wheel for correct part number and function?
