Tire Rack
I sent a email requesting what wheels and tires to replace the pax system on my 2006 rl run flats. I received a email back that because of safety issues removing pax wheels and tires they could not help me? My next point that I don't understand is how people can even consider MICHelin tires after the way Michelin has treated those with the screwed up pax system. If your one of the lucky ones who live where there is the proper equipment to mount pax tires. If not your screwed.

The trick is to use the website and choose a standard RL, narrow your choices to 17's with 245/50-17 or 18's with 245/45-18, and go to town.
Choose your rubber first. The choices in 17 and 18 may make your decision for you, because what is there today is likely to be an indicator of similar availability in the future when you replace your tires. Since 2006, the tire choices in 17 inch rubber have been decidedly slim in comparison to the choices in 18 inch rubber. Then look for wheels. Try not to get too heavy a wheels <26 lbs if you can afford it.
You can also look for take offs at a dealer ship.
