Nail in right front sidewall!

I have had my 06 acura RL for less than a month and just approaching 1000 miles. Last week I noticed the tire pressure sensors alerting me to low psi in my right front tire. After taking a look I saw there was a nail in the sidewall. Today I went and priced out a new tire and was told $262.00 with the install!! I know the tire warranty is only good against defects, but doesn't Michelin cover road hazards for a certain period. I can't seem to find any of this information in my packet. I'd hate to spend $300 and come to find out I was covered. Any advice in this matter would be appreciated! Thanks in advance,

yarsix

That sucks. The 17 inch tires are very expensive, the 18's are worse.

Unfortunately, the only road hazard I know of is the two years or 5/32 for the Michelin PAX.

I had the exact same problem earlier this month on a non-tech 06 RL I purchased after Thanksgiving. I called Acura and they verified that the tires do not come with road hazard coverage. I passed on road hazard insurance from the dealer as I had never, ever utilized it in the past.

Michelin OEM Tire

In case anyone needs a replacement Michelin Pilot 245/50/17 tire in the future. I have them available for $140 each. These are brand new take-offs with less than 10 miles. I am in Los Angeles. (818) 749-2457
