how much air in...
my new set of dunlop sp signature tires should i put in? i have the apsec setup. these tires feel soft at 40psi. max is 50psi. has anyone had these tires on there RL. i am looking for a firm in corner feel....?

Typically most passenger cars are good with 32-35 psi in the tires. Open your driver side door and look at the door. There should be a label there that shows gross weight of car, restrictions in weight and specifically what psi to use.
IMO 40 is too much.

thanks...
i wanted a driver to reply not a mechanic. i understand about the driver door tag. i wanted a reply from a owner of the same tire an there view of what psi feels better on aspec RL when they are driving around corners etc... thanks anyway.

Start with manufacturer 32/30 FR and adjust from there. I tend to like 34/32 cold at about 45 degrees ambient using my Yoko Advans on A-spec suspension and 19x8.5 wheels. In practice, after driving a few miles, it is 36-37 on the top end, depending also on ambient temps. When it is 90-100 outside, I will have to let some air out because it does get a bit punishing after 40...but that is on these tires. You have to make your own judgments.

Yes some tires are a little diffrent. What you do is fill it up where the tire doent look flat on the front an check the pressure. Give your rear 2-4 psi less that the front and drive for a 100 mile and check the tire for ware marks then you can tell if you should add more or less. I have 19s for summer with Falcon 452 and if I put 32psi the tire looks flat and not feeling right. With a tire having a max pressure of 50psi if you only put 30 in my opinion it is almost half I don't think 30-32 will work

I went through a $1200 set of tires in 12k. Alignment was fine etc.
After talking with shop techs (I had taken the car in to see if anything was out of spec) they said that because of the weight and aggressiveness of the car they recommended tires be inflated to at least 35/35. So, that's what mine are at now. Used to keep them at the door jamb sticker recommendation of 32/30.

I go 40-42 fronts and 38-40 rears. I have pilot sport plus all around. It just feels to soft left at 32-36. Max is also 50psi. When driving with my psi settings it gets max to 48 only when in 100+ degree weather. After it gets warm, it usually hovers around 44-46. I feel that it should be higher because our cars are so damn heavy.

I have about 15k - 18k on tein comforts. I guess I could play with the settings too. But I like comfy and have it set on soft about 9 in fronts and 10 in the rear. With that air it seems very comfortable.

if i was you i would stiffen up the front a bit and just leave the back. let a bit of air out so when the tires are hot 40-38 f-r. I can almost guaranty it will feel better! remember most of the weight is in the front.
