help with pax system

Hi I have read lots of posts about pax system but just need help to make sure I am ordering the right wheels. I have an 06 RL with tech package and the pax tires. I need to depax and want to make sure the BMW M3 wheels I have seen will fit because they will not return them. Would you guys mind looking at this thread http://www.oemwheelsplus.com/bmw/18-...heels-set.html and telling me if they will work without any changes except sensors swapped over? I want 18" non staggered all silver wheels and have found a place oemwheelsplus.com. I was going to order Nankang ns-11 tires for $97.00 each and the reviews seem good on this tire?

That is some cheap rubber. Are you not worried about noise?

I don't know if anyone can say if these fit or not unless someone has put them on before. Offset is not an issue with this car, it is clearing the calipers you need to worry about.

I am worried about noise and another member Brian sent me a message as well letting me know that tire is not good. Brian for some reason I cant send you back an email, but thanks very much. Oemwheelsplus says that wheel should fit with a set of hub rings for $20, but do you think I will have an issue with calipers? I was thinking others had used this wheel?

Has anyone used the Falken or Fuzion tires and had good success with them being quiet? I like michelins the best but the reviews were surprisingly not good on wear.

I know you are fishing for a straight answer but there are a lot of debates on tires:

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-tires-wheels-suspension-92/help-me-tires-please-835774/

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-tires-wheels-suspension-92/tires-bridgestone-serenity-vs-toyo-versado-lx-ii-vs-michelin-hxmx4-832722/

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-tires-wheels-suspension-92/best-east-coast-all-season-tires-834882/

And I think we all agree in most cases you get what you pay for... my recommendations are the Toyo Versados or the Cont DW. (you probably dont need the DWS in Cali)

For the wheels, unless someone has used them or the company will guarantee they will clear the caliper I would not risk it on a "no return" situation.

I think we saw a thread in this forum with those exact wheels on an RL, not too long ago.

This guy has M5 replicas that fit.

And the one that will be the most help is Guss_90 and his M3 replicas.

Do yourself a favor and go to your nearest Discount Tire/America's Tire instead of ordering from Direct. They'll match Direct's price but you also get a 30 day ride guarantee so if you don't like the tires you can return them and get something else

Looking at Direct's prices, the Continental DWS is only $8/tire more and is a much safer bet IMO. Lots of great reviews on those tires. Wear and sidewall integrity are the only two red flags on that tire in my book. Don't expect 50k out of them and watch out for potholes. Not that you'll see anything near 60k out of the Falken BTW.

Thanks guys very much! Unfortunetly I am in Destin FL and have no real tire source here and cant drive any distance as my tires are actually coming off on the edges. I just sent the guy with the M3 replicas a message to see if he can tell me if the wheels from oemwheelsplus in 18" will work. This is the link the wheel company sent me, I think its the same wheel design as Gus but they wont tell me if it will work or clear calipers. I am frantic at this point, cant have my car down! Thanks for any more help. Oh on the Continentals, I just worry about tread life as i have not had good luck with the brand in past.
