Could it be the tires or something else?
Hi all!
Since I am still breaking in the car (543 miles to date), I have not gotten the chance to drive fast. But today I was running late to get the trunk lip spoiler installed, so I had to drive a little bit faster. When I went over 70 mph, I immediately noticed some vibration. I believe the steering wheel was the one. Is this caused by the tires? Again, I don't get this when driving 0 to 65 mph. But as soon as I hit 70 or over, it shakes! It is not a good feeling at all. I have the original Michelins tires. On a side note, I'm pretty sure my car was one of the cars that was sitting on the dealer's lot for quite some time before I came along.
Thoughts, anyone?
Thanks!

It's not hard to fix at all. The dealer should take care of it or take it to a good tire shop to have the wheels spin balanced.

Hunter device was the best a year ago....my shops called it "road force balanced." I think TireR**k has a blurb on it. Dealers can do it. Per some gurus, a really good idea on 18" plus rims....

My dealer has a Hunter Roadforce machine, so I have them do all the balancing. So far, no difficulty with the new A-Spec wheels and Toyo Proxes 4 tires.....

Had a similar problem with my car. Brought it back and told them I thought a wheel was out of balance. When they returned the car they told me I was wrong; all 4 were out of balance!
On a side note, I still feel a little vibration above 65 MPH when the tires are relatively cold, however after about 20 miles or so it seems the vibration goes away. That could be flat spotting from my car sitting on the dealer lot for 5 months (currently my car only has 670 miles on it). Had a similar experience with my TL and the problem disappeared after about 2000 miles.
Sounds like you need to take the car back and have the wheels balanced.
