Continental ExtremeContact DW

Anyone with Continental ExtremeContact DW tires, not the DWS. I'm buying 18" Ron Jon Harrow's and after doing lots of reseach I think I have settled on the Continental's. Seem like a great summer tire that still rides nice.

Sorry but putting DWS on mine this Saturday. putting 19" RonJon Legends... looking at your location, won't you need all season considering you live in north? or is this more for summer only?

I might be going the Continental DW route as well.
Seems to be a popular tire.

I have snow tires on the factory wheels for winter. I would think in Atlanta you would be fine with the DW's no? All depends on what you are trying to accomplish though.

I was considering DW's but the price is crazy, might end up with Hankok V12's

037, you would get them in 245/45 18 right? The load range for the V12's on Tire Rack has them available only in XL and I would stay away from that. My Kuhmo's ride too rough because of that. I wish I would have followed my own saying and never skimp on the only part of the car that actually touches the ground!

If keeping in accordance with the required load index as per OEM tires, the only available low profile options are in the XL load range. I failed to adhere to this last summer and won't be repeating that mistake this time around. Which also means the only viable options for me are Sumitomo HTRZ or Michelin PS2 XL

Tire Rack just told me at the 245/45 18 I would be fine with the 96Y load rating. Since you are going with 19" I imagine you are getting 255/40/19. That is the size I had the last two summers in XL and it was much too rough once they wore a bit. Even if I went back to 19'' I don't care what the Acura says I wouldn't do it.

You said you failed to adhere to this last summer, what happened?

I had a set of Michelin PS2s, 96 load rating. They were the cheapest as a set of 4 of all the PS2s when I was purchasing. I've had low profile tires on a lot of previous cars and direction changes were sloppy, steering input was lazy, overall lacked confidence in them. Despite having no scientific proof, I've convinced myself to steer clear of anything less than a 98 load rating. Michelin does offer the PS2 in a 98 which is probably what I'll purchase if funds are friendly at the time.

255/40-19 is a little big, the specs say 245/40-19 is the sweet spot as far a diameter.
