clunk on front?
is there a common problem on 2005 RL
I go over a bump and have a clunk from the front.
how can I tell if its sway bar end links or something else?
I replaced left wheel bearing lower control arm and upper control arm already and strut
all ball joints were blown out for some reason on driver side.
but sway bar links don't seem to be loose
and they are 50 bucks a pop. I don't want to spend 100 bucks and find out it wasn't the problem

A clunk when going over speed bumps in particular is usually symptomatic of bad sway bar end links. I emphasize the word usually as suspension clunks I usually like to hear myself.

well this is annoying
3-4 weeks and the clunk is back along with many other noises lol
except this time theres no visible play in upper or lower balljooints since both lower ones were replaced
but the clunk is still there now only when I go over bumps at low speed.
the freeway issue is fixed with lower ball joints,

12 year old cars are needy as fuck, regardless of make and or model.
i'd rather spend on maintenance than finance a car.
a few grand a year vs $25k-30k for 5 years with interest. (and i'm being generous, we all know it'd likely be a 72 month loan to eek out the least monthly payments)
