2005 RL: squeaking like crazy up front, when driving, turning, over small and big bumps. Dealer says $300 for upper control arm w/ ball joint and $655 for lower control arm w/ ball joint. I've been able to find a press in upper ball joint but no luck on finding a lower ball joint. Any help?

 

We typically only sell the front upper ball joints/control arms as they are the ones that adjust camber and alignment. You'd probably be better off with an oem lower balljoint. We do have the upper ones available for $66.88.

Could a bad control arm bushing or ball joint be causing the "clunking" I hear from the front end when braking hard or when I go over bumps? I don't think it's the motor mount because I replaced that with a solid one about a year ago.

 

95% sure that would be a failed strut.

 

What do you think would cause a clicking sound when I'm turning the wheel and driving?

 

That's usually a cv axle
