06'RL replace with 09'TL 19"

Any thoughs/experience with changing the OEM RL with 19" OEM 09' TL's - 245/40/19?
Comfort of ride?
Performance improvement?

Actually, you may want to check fit before you do anything. Not that the wheel size and tire size is off, the front caliper may rub. Every published measurement may be OK, diameter, width, offset, bore, PCD, but the so called X factor, the clearance behind the back of the spokes, and the caliper is the question. See the yellow shaded area, in the illustration below

I seem to recall the 09 TL wheels do not have the clearance, but I cannot put my fingers on the source right now.



Also check your lug nuts if the wheels do fit. I am almost certain that the TL now uses the ball seat instead of the flat seat with washer that 2005-2008 RL's use.

Thanks - I saw the set at the dealership, so the offer MUST be that they install on the car ...let's see if I can negotiate a better price

I think there's beta on here somewhere that the wheels from the TL-AWD will fit us, but the others drag on the caliper.

You'll need spacers (10mm or so), but this user went with 19mm:

One thing to note, your tire selection (prices too) is better with 18" vs either 17" or 19"
