My pro photographer buddy was in town this weekend shooting my brother's wedding. Fortunately for me, he put aside some time to do a little photo shoot with the RL today. He took about 100 pictures and is going to edit the best ones and send them to me this week. I can't wait. Here's the best picture I took with my iPhone. I whored it up a little bit with Snapseed too. The good pictures will be coming soon. Stay tuned....

My photographer buddy just got these back to me. He was in town shooting my little brother's wedding and made some time for me. These were shot in the IKEA parking garage. Unfortunately, with the wedding and all that weekend, I didn't have time to really shine up the car beforehand. It was also my first, (and probably last), time using Meguiar's Black Wax. I don't know if it just needs more time to dry before buffing or what but I wasn't happy with its results. I think I'm going to stick with my tried and true Meguiar's Carnuba Paste in the future.

BDogg,

Thanks Mykizism. I vaguely remember you. I have not been on that forum for years. I still keep in touch with a few guys from there though. I miss my Prelude honestly. I'd still be driving it if not for starting a family. The wife's TL is paid off next year, maybe sooner, and I'm planning on getting an S2000 for weekend fun. Hopefully that will be enough to make me forget about the Lude.

Before the remarks come in, yes, there are 2 more wheels. Got a great deal on them refurbished through a vendor at work. They look brand new.

Total bitch from what I've read. 7" part needs to exit a 6" hole. Possible, but a bitch. The TL guys have done it many times. No one has documented an RL.

I had a 98 sh for 4 yrs back in 98-late 02. OMG that was a hard car to sell. Luckily I sold it to a kid that went to a local high school so when id come home from college, he'd pick me up to go for a ride. Thats how much i loved that car. A car is the one of few things a man gets attached to a material thing like women like jewelry, purses, etc...lol.

97 SH
Milano Red (I think that was the actual name of the color)
Heated seats (never seen these in another prelude)
Two tone leather interior.
The going rate back then was around 10~12k for the same millage cars, my asking price was $9500 due to the fact that one chip from the reverse gear was chipped due to the previous owner pulling J turns with the car . This made the car make a clicking noise every time you'd reverse. Non the less the new owner drove from CT to look at the car, went to the bank got the cashier check and was back on his way within a couple of hours.
couple of pictures

Sorry for the thread hijack
I would have never sold the car if it wasnt for the fact that I had to drive 120 miles 3 times a week going to Boston for school, the stop and go traffic was wearing me out a bit

It seems quite a few RL owners previously owned 5th gen Preludes. While the Prelude and RL are worlds apart, there are a couple of things they share that attract secondhand buyers to them.
First is exclusivity. The 5th gen Prelude only sold 49k units in the US over 5 years of production. The RL was also a slow selling vehicle. It's nice to drive a car that you don't see on every corner and in every grocery store parking lot.
The second is understated and timeless styling. Both cars possess understated good looks and subtle details in their designs. The 5th gen Prelude is still a great looking car 17 years after it was first released. The RL will continue to look good for years to come as well.

Figured I'd just post these in this thread. I don't really post much in the 3G TL section and you guys are the ones I always chat with anyway. Here's my wife's 2007 TL. Just put some 18x8 Advanti Racing wheels and Michelin Pilot Super Sport's on it yesterday. Took me over 5 years to finally convince her to let me put wheels on it. It's not really going to get modded much beyond this. Maybe some Type-S tail lights, side markers and possibly the base lip kit.

I want to do Type-S tails and side markers on the TL but she doesn't really care so maybe one day. At this point, all car spending is being put on hold because we are going to be buying a bigger house.
