Put 18" Chrome on RL

Looks great (IMO) and the ride is awesome. I suggest everybody upgrade to these

I put the pirelli pzero nero M&S on them and you can feel the road a little more than the pilot sport a/s I had on the 17"s, but not enough to be harsh. I will post pictures later.

Excellent choice vik. You'll probably find that the Pirelli's are at their very best from a ride quality and noise standpoint once they've warmed up a bit. Cruising on a nice stretch of highway on a warm summer day, the Pirelli's are incredibly smooth and almost silent. Even cold and at their very worst, the Pirelli's are a huge step up from the stock Michelins.

Chrome is the way to go on a dark car. Really brings out the trim pieces.

Those wheels look sick. I love the way they show off the front brakes so much more than the stock ones. That is my next purchase when I get the cash.

Looks Awesome!

From whom did you purchase the wheels & tires? Did the wheels come with the TPMS attachments?

I too have a Opulent Blue Pearl 2005 RL and was thinking about getting the 18 inch wheels probably when I am ready for new tires and just do everything thru Acura. Do you guys rec. having Acura install the 18 inch wheels and buying the rec. tires from Acura or did you order them discounted through a discounted parts online store such as acuraparts247.com along with the Pirelli tires? I investigated the total costs involved and you don't seem to save that much money buying the wheels online and paying for the shipping versus having them shipped free to your local Acura dealer plus you get a certified Acura dealer doing the installation. Am I making sense about how the decision is a tough one who to go with once you've made the roughly $2500 committment (sp?) to buy new wheels and tires?

I bought my wheels on ebay and got the tires from a local tire place. Going to your dealer is a good idea to have them put it on with the TPMS - it doesn't really matter because most places can do it fine. www.tirerack.com for tires is a great place. I suggest the michelin pilot sport a/s or the pirelli pzero nero M&S

I would NOT get the OEM tires for these - they are the michelin pilot sports... NOT all season.

Most tire places will be fine putting the tires on, but going to yoru dealer is probably a good idea anyways.

I decided I am going to take these off for the winter now and sell the wheels and tires. I will probably end up with some new wheels next year, but don't really want to keep these in the garage over the winter and would really like a different look. I saw four RLs today with these wheels (normally I never even see one RL, let alone 4 with the a-spec wheels)
