what year is the camry? that's a lot of work you put in. very cool
It was a '95 It was very sad to see the car go when it was crashed last year, as it was my first car, and I did indeed have a lot of work into it! But all is well, I know have two great cars that took it's place
Hard to believe I'm already coming up on 5 years since the Opti-Coat Pro install! Since I was quick approaching the estimated 5 year life of the product, I decided to work with my detailer of choice and re-coat the car. After careful consideration, I decided to go with Modesta BC-04, which is rated at 7+ years. Free shoutout to Jason and Greg and Chicago Auto Pros. I've been going to them since they opened up shop. Even though the car spends more time than I'd like in a garage, I still like it looking amazing for the times I do decide to drive it. And yes, I did switch my plates to Illinois finally The plate is not a troll
Do you mind if I ask how much did the 7-year coat cost you?
The base cost for the coating itself is 800$ plus whatever prep work is needed for the car. They have multiple "levels" as prep packages but if your car doesn't need that much work it becomes an hourly rate thing

Bump! It's crazy to think it's going to be 11 years in April since I've bought this car! She's still going strong! Recently got the wheels re-powdercoated and did the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs and valve adjustment. Also did all four wheel bearings and the front axles. The car is good to go for twice as many miles as it has now! Despite the other two vehicles I have, the recent repairs/maintenance should say she's not going anywhere anytime soon!!
Next on my list, eventually, is try to do some paint correction and protection. Good work on your RL so far!
Thank you! It’s the one car I hold near and dear to my heart. It’s been with me since I graduated college and saw me thru a lot of major life changes: first job, grad school, marriage, etc… Ideally I’d like to keep it until something major happens like a total loss!
100% worth doing ceramic coatings, they have so many options to fit any budget nowadays vs even 8 years ago when I first did it.
Update: I found a set of what I believe to be rare satin Aspec wheels, brand new in box with center caps! Found them from a seller in Wisconsin and decided to make the trek to pick them up! With that being said, Ill have an extra set of Aspec 18's laying around at home that should be coming up for sale soon LOL
I was wanting that rare color for the RL, never knew they made them for the RL since I always seen them for the TLs. Nice find! I couldn't custom powder coat my stock A specs so I just spent the extra to buy aftermarket wheels...

The TL blue is a different paint code than this one. To my knowledge they didn’t use OBP on any other car. Which truly sucks since it’s a great color, but then again I’m biased. I was told by service that OBP exterior with ebony interior was a very uncommon combination to have, most were sold with light interior colors.
