XM Nav was unaware of reboot problem
XM Nav was unaware of reboot problem
I finally got to talk to someone on the Xm navtraffic team today. Someone called me back after I had given first level Xm support a piece of my mind a while back. The same gentleman had left a message for me saying I should have my xm receiver replaced because 'my unit was rebooting every 15 minutes'. Of course I never said that to anyone.
So.
I explained the problem to him again and he was unaware that several/many people experienced nav system reboots at the same time over the last few weeks. He agreed this was most likely bogus data and bad code somewhere in the chain causing the thing to panic and reboot. He asked me to call their support center directly next time this happened. 800 985 9200. Please call them if this has happened to you especially if you recall when it did.
