Hi, I've got my 2008 Silver Tech RL and very happy with it.
While been on my first check-up at the dealer was provided with 2008 TL loaner.
Suprisingly, after pairing my cell (Motorola Razr) with TL, found out that phonebook entries could be exportet (one-by-one) into TL HFL system.

Here is even more, check Honda HFL features for new "Accord", seems like "Accord" can import "ALL" the phone entries into HLF memory.

Seems very frustrated, cause RL - the Honda Motors flagship missing this usefull feature, and has limitation of 50 manual phone book entries, if I'm not mistaken.

Again, seems to me this would be just a software update, in order to stay recent with the rest of the "Honda" vehicles, but I do not know, if Acura/Honda has anything in plans for us, RL owners.

 

Not too sure I'd want to import all of my contacts. I have 876 in my BlackBerry.

A few would be nice though.

Yep, you see this is where I'm getting too.

In software world, it would be an absolutely weird situation.

Let's imagine, you've got yourself WIndows Vista Ultimate (not what I like Microsoft that much, but just fit good for comparison...) You're friend got Business edition - which is still good has some unique features, but in terms of common ground it is the same but a little strip down or the same version of the same core software. Another of your friend 2 years later got Home Edition - which supposedly should be the "lowest" grade (again using core component comparison) of them all...

Here is what'd happend in Software world: Can you imagin Home Edition has more features (newer features) than Ultimate - ? What about Business Edition-? Even if there are more users on business and home edition, it would never happen in the first place, cause they share the "common" ground, and Ultimate code is the parent for the rest (so if update received for Business and home, it means automatically the same, or even more sophisticated update available for Ultimate...)

Sorry for long explanation, but this would help explain, what I think is incorrect in this situation...

HFL on RL (as well as some voice recognition software components) are great, but looks like TL voice and HFL, and Accord HFL (do not know about voice recognition) are much more advanced...

It makes me really upset, that we've paid more than the rest of the guys (for their TL's and possibly new Accord's) and in terms of Gadgets getting the same, and some time less ...
(Again mine is 2008 is pretty recent release...)
