whats good azine family, i have a question i have been contemplating on either buying the new DvD Nav for my car 06 RL but i want to know what new features do you see. what changes?

i would change if there is a dramatic change, like is there a new color background or I don't know lol...

I got the latest and greatest version about a month ago....didn't really notice anything different.

More to the point, what version nav disk do you currently have? If you have the original 4.3x disk, you will notice a great difference. If you have 4.6x and above, not so much.

This is the key document that describes changes and you will see real software changes at 4.6x, at the 1/20th mile scale, loss of male voice, but interestingly, no mention of the DST patch that first appeared in problematic 4.62 version which they no longer acknowledge.

I went from 4.3 to 4.62 to whatever the lastest is 4.73???

I paid about $150 from acura off their site. That might have been during a promo though.

 

Sorry, I should have addressed my comment to the OP, but you confirm the experience...

4.6x was the big change. 4.73 just more maps and unpdate POIs when compared to 4.62, and more importantly, 4.73 better accomodates firmware/software updates from older (2005/2006 cars).

$150 was an initial release promotion price for 4.73

 

I just purchased a nav dvd for an older RL and after the lady told me 185 I said the dealer told me it was 145 and they gave it to me for the promo price. It woulnd up being like 180 shipped though!

The promo price of 145 ended a couple of months ago though so just play dumb and tell em that what you were told at such and such dealer.
