Trying to install Usa Spec Acu Xl...Help!!
I just got the acu lx unit and have been trying to get it to work all day with no luck.
I plug it into the same unit as the nav disks go into correct? The 20 pin connector is the second one from the left. When I do that I lose control to the nav screen. I go to turn the car on and it wants me to enter the nav code but I dont have any control with the knob. I tried taking out the plugs and putting it back to normal and control comes back to the knob for my to imput the code.
Am I doing something wrong????

The Usa Spec Acu Xl plugs into the xm radio unit in the trunk, which is not the Navi unit where the discs go.
You will need to remove the carpeted sides of the inside of the trunk on the left side, near where the gas cap is (but on the inside).

Olaf is correct, pull out the left rear trunk trim (its easy - 4 clips) to access the XM module. From there, its a little tougher to snake the control wire back to the consul, but certainly not impossible.

So its actually a different unit. Thats funny, I called Acura and asked them if their was a separate XM unit in the trunk and they said there wasn't. I will check it out in the morning. What did you guys do with the USA Spec unit? I was thinking that I would put it in the bottem of the center consel. Not sure how I will run the cable though.

I routed it via the pass through from the back seat to trunk, tucking the cable into the seat and covering the cable with the threshold trim at the base of one of the back doors. From there I crossed under the seat, and placed the unit in the center console but not inside the armrest. It's a tad big for that location and the cable stick out on opposite ends to make it unwieldy. I placed it near the drivers feet under the carpeted skirt. From there I ran the cable to attach to the iPod into the armrest.
Some helpful info on getting into the console can be found here (do note the instructions themselves are for another iPod adapter, so focus on the console stuff but ignore the rest):

I have it installed, when your ipod is connected it overrides XM1 on mine. you don't lose your presets, because when the Ipod is disconnected your presets are back.
