RL Puddle Lights-Doors

Anybody here have them on their 2005-2008 RL's. Did you have to drill the doors or just replace the existing door lamps?

Are you talking about the bulbs at the bottom of the door? Or are you talking about bulbs that would illuminate down from the side views? The car comes standard with the bulbs in the door to my knowledge...

I'm sorry, I meant the puddle lights that say "Acura" on the ground when you open the car doors.

I honestly can't say I've ever seen it done. I don't think it would be as simple as putting a film over the lens?

No, on most you have to drill holes into the bottom of the doors and mount the projector lenses and on some you can replace your existing door lamps with the replacement lenses and get the same effect. I see them for the TL's and MDX's but not for the RL.....

That would definitely be cool if it was done... Any idea on the cost of components?

They are very inexpensive. less than $40...but can't find any for the RL, unless you drill a hole in the bottom of the door....which I don't wanna do....Other Acura's you can just pop out the factory door light and swap them out.

Yikes yeah I ain't about that lol. I mean, if it's cheap to buy the "Acura" ones, I'd take the plunge and see if you can find an alternate way to mount them?
