rl nav screen

Is there a way to get the pin-out for the cable(s) going to the nav screen? I was interested to see if I could replace the screen with a different one, and connect the factory things through a video input of a third party screen.

Any thoughts?

I am not looking to increase the resolution of our nav system, I am looking more to have a screen with a VGA / USB Touchscreen interface for a Carputer.

you can do this, and you can make your life quite a bit easy.

Call up dominic at tvandnav2go and he sells a reverse adapter that translates the navi signal into RCA Video. Take the RCA video and send it to your new monitor. I am unsure about the RL, but I think that the screen may also control a few other functions like the HVAC and upper display. You will probably need to just remove the LCD portion and leave the rest of the circuitry there and place the new screen infront of the circuitry.
