I recently had my local Acura dealer add a sunroof visor to my 05 RL which I didn't even know was an option from looking at the Acura website prior to them posting the new 06 RL information. I learned that it was an option from acuraparts247.com, and my dealer installed it for me as an "official" accessory backed up by Acura warranty. I find that I now use my sunroof more due to much less wind shear inside the car; however, I have noticed now the addition of some road noise/wind whistling noise when the sunroof is closed. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

 

My salesman actually recommended that I not get the visor for this very reason. He said that the factory piece that comes up when the sunroof diverts the wind enough and that I wouldn't like the added wind noise that the visor added.

 

Thanks, I wish I had known all of the info prior so that I could have made a more informed decision. I think that I would have done it anyway because I do use the sunroof much more now and if I close the inside shield when I am not using the sunroof I pretty much don't hear anything significant and nothing if I have the radio on.

 

I have recently developed a rattle that appears to be coming from the sun roof. I do not have a visor installed. It begins at very low speeds. Very annoying even with the head liner closed. Now I have rattle /buzz in the sun roof and rear deck somewhere, my brakes squeal, and the rear head rests won't lower. Had the car almost 1 year. Going in to the Acura dealer soon.
