Q: Is it possible to upgrade to Acuralink?

Hi guys,

I upgraded my base Rl not long ago to Nav by swapping out the DVD unit in the trunk. I'm interested in the Acuralink functionality but I'm not sure how I add it. I read that it had to do something with the XM Radio tuner.

Please advise on how I can get Acuralink to work.

Thanks,
Pual

You need the entire XM module located on the left corner panel of the trunk. I assume Acura Link interfaces through the XM antenna, but I may be wrong about that. In the Garage there is a service manual that goes through diagnostics and such that may be of help.

I have Acuralink connected to the data of my phone and in 6 years it has done nothing for me. What are you expecting from it?

WOW and since I bought my '06 RL I have been trying to get the AcuraLink up and running with no success. I always thought I will be useful to get up and running but I guess I was wrong. So now I can waste my time on something more useful.

Maybe it is working. The difference between it working or not is non existant!
