OEM subwoofer access / connection verification

The previous owner of my '06 had an an aftermarket sub that was removed prior to the sale -- the four wires running to the amp were simply spliced in at the Bose module. The stock sub doesn't work -- how do you access it to verify it wasn't disconnected at the speaker? Apparently it cannot be accessed via the trunk as I didn't see it with the liner pulled back. Do I pop the trim inside the vehicle behind the rear seat? If so, how does it pry off?

Bottom line -- all speakers work but the OEM sub and I need to verify all connections. Bose module verified, now I need to verify at the speaker connection, yet how? I'm unable to contact the previous owner to see what he may have done.

Thanks!

you have to remove to upper portion of the rear seat then the deck cover to expose the speaker. Personally you should be able to reach around the sub to see if its connected from the trunk, i can reach mine.

Also, you should know that owners that installed aftermarket subs, usually disconnected the ANC. I believe most of them disconnected the rear mic.
