I am buying a 2005 RL used and the navi codes and the radio codes are missing,,, also all the dealer has is the blade key, and no remote. I saw some remotes on ebay some say driver #1 and Driver #2!? which one do i need. and can i progeam myself and if so how ?

also the manual is missing and the codes are not on a sticker or anywhere else on the car... can anyone help?

I don't know if you are buying from an Acura dealer, but if you are and they can't take care of all that for you, I'd pass on it.

 

sounds a bit strange IMHO,
once you have proof of ownership you can get the navi and radio codes from the dealer
BUT
I would demand that you have them get those codes before you buy it because you obviously will not know if there is a problem with the system until after you have bought the car. And seeing that the tech is a major part of the vehicle you should NOT buy the car based on 1/2 of the experience.

A switchblade key sounds like the wrong key for the 05 . The car comes with 2 $300 keyless remotes which has added features.

You can have either driver 1 or 2 key but you need to buy a new key blank (acura/honda part number 35111sja305) - you can buy that online from curryacuraparts for 36 or cheaper at acuraoempartsdotcom if you live on the westcoast then have the key cut and programmed at the dealer or a locksmith to link to the car.

you can program the remote yourself or have the dealer do it if you're having them program it for you anyway.
