Need help on HFL to enter call service #

I just got a service to call Canada inexpensively. However, I must dial an access number (which I can program into my address book) then after connecting and getting a signal, I must dial the actual telephone number. This can be quite cumbersome as the voice recognition messes this up quick easily.

Is there anyway to do this more simply?

Also, is there anyway to initiate a call on my cellphone then transfer it over to the HFL?

I cant help you with the first part of your question, however to answer this one, do the following:

Initiate the call from your cellphone
Press the HFL button
After the "beep", say "Transfer"
The call will now transfer to the HFL system of the RL

Thanks,

That does help for another issue of getting calls from my phone's address book more easily dialed.

Still not sure what to do about the Canadian calls.

Store the access number and the numbers to be called (if possible). Once the access number has connected, press the HFL button and say "SEND" then the name under which you stored the number to be called. You can also say SEND followed by speaking the acutal number.

Since the voice recognition often makes mistakes, this tends to be a problem for entering numbers after a prompt. I was hoping there would be a simpler and less error prone way to do this.

I think you're misunderstanding what to do. Store all of the numbers you want to call in the RL's phonebook, each under a different name (for example "Access Number" and "Steve"). Initiate the call to your access number, saying "DIAL Access Number." When the call connects, say "SEND Steve" and confirm the prompt, and it will send the numbers contained in the phonebook entry named "Steve." I don't know how much clearer it could be. This works for me with voicemail numbers and passwords.

Thanks, that is much clearer. I didn't know that you could send a second number by its name when prompted. That should work.

That's what I do with my work voice mail.

I say "call voice mail work"

when it connects, I say "send login voice mail", to send in the login string.
