Navigation Issues...need some advice!

I am taking a trip later this week and want to see if there is a way to calibrate the Nav to more accurately display my arrival time, based on the speed that I am traveling.

I have noticed that it defaults to 35 mph on non-digitized roads, etc. Certainly it can do a better job of giving me an accurate idea of my ETA given my current speed, etc.

Is there a way I can set this? My BMW would recalculate constantly based on current rate of speed...

Please help!!!

Many thanks,

TXTENOR

if you have NavTraffic, it calculates arrival based on traffic speeds on Freeway. If you are on surface streets, how is it supposed to know what lies ahead?
