I'm still waiting for a response from Dice, (now owned by Audiovox), for clarification but I figured I'd post to see if anybody has already done this. On their website it the compatibility chart says "Not compatible with the Technology package". Maybe I'm missing something but I can't think of any reason why the CMBS/ACC systems would inhibit installing this. I'm thinking maybe they are just misunderstanding what all is entailed in the tech package for the earlier model RL.

Does anybody here have the CMBS/ACC RL with a MediaBridge installed? How about a USASpec kit? I'm really leaning toward the MediaBridge due to the Bluetooth connectivity. It just seems much more future proof, something that I've been thinking of quite a bit more with Apple's recent switching to the lightning plug.

Any constructive advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks Heavy. I looked through all those and didn't really find anything that is specific to the Mediabridge and CMBS/ACC package. I'm still waiting to hear back from Dice. Hopefully they'll be able to give me a definitive answer.

how do you suppose the CMBS/ACC package will make the stereo different?

 

Exactly my thoughts. Considering they have the Technology package listed as non compatible for every Acura model I think they just don't understand what it means for the RL.



Just trying to find a definitive answer before I waste $250. The guy selling his RL said it works fine but he had to go through the CD changer input because the XM was playing through along with the adapter. I think that is solved by installing a 3-way switch like Psheu did. Waiting to hear back from him too.

Like I said, with Apple changing the cable design on their new products I'm more concerned with the kit being future proof. The Bluetooth connectivity is the main selling point for me.

I have the MediaBridge but have not had a chance to install it yet. I'll keep you updated.

 

I'm also curious to hear how this turns out... looking at the mediabridge option as well. Has anyone heard anything about the lock picks?

Looks pretty cool but they list it as available for 04-05 RL and then 09+ RL? They don't have any units in stock anyway....
