Can a loose neg. battery terminal cause the altenator to fail?
I got a battery replaced a week ago at the dealership. I drove 180 miles, when battery got drained, had to get towed to a service garage. CAN a loose neg. battery terminal cause the alternator to fail?, that's what I have noticed. and is the dealership liable for my towing and repair fees..thank you

It's probably not impossible. However, I think it is much safer to assume your alternator was going bad when the new battery was installed. The dealer is not liable for any extra incurred costs in this situation, but they owe you a new battery.
