Cool looking for the point of failure

I have a 07 RL, the hands free has never been great. 2 tears ago I got my first iPhone. With the iPhone the hands free worked much better. This model did not have Bluetooth streaming. Once these audio receivers that plug into the AUX port came out I grabbed one so I could stop running a cable. Now I added the new Escort Passport Max 2 which has Bluetooth. With everything connected my hands free is not as clear. If I only use the iPhone for the hands free it's great. Any ideas?

everything connected.

I mean every device connected via Bluetooth. The audio streaming will be great but if a call comes in the hands free audio quality is poor.

I assume your Escort Passport Max 2 is a radar detector. Why does it need to be on Bluetooth?

Passport Max 2

The radar detector can sync with an application called Escort Live. It can give you real time alerts and allow you to mark spots where you have seen law enforcement searching for revenue. This also allows your alerts to play through your car speakers interrupting your music so you are aware of situations.

You aren't the only one to experience the issue, but a solution was not offered. Interference with phone [Archive] - Escort Radar Forum

It is nearly impossible for us to tell if it is 1) the detector, 2) the phone, or 3) the car. Is your phone up to date with the latest software? Is the detector up to date with the latest firmware? If so, perhaps a call to Escort customer service is your best bet. I have a feeling they have heard this one before. Another alternative is to make another thread on the escort forum (since that one is archived) and see if anyone there has a solution.

remember you are dealing with 10 year OLD tech in the car... essentially you are asking to much IMO.

It would be nice if someone could find a way to swap in an new(er) bluetooth box/software.
