I have been getting different answers regarding the LOC. Can someone chime in on this...If I tap into my stock subwoofer (+ & -) before it goes into the stock amp do I need a LOC. A friend of mines who is very knowledgable with car audio says that I do not need one. He says that if I tap into the stock subwoofer after the amp then I would need a LOC. From reading previous threads I cannot determine what others have done in the past? I read somewhere that Carbon Legend tapped into the stock sub before the amp and it looks like he still used a LOC, any clarification guys?

Thanks.

I used a LOC tapped into the sub + & - after the amp. Does your amp have speaker level inputs or line level inputs? Either way, I think you are best off tapping into the wires after the amp. We know it works and know the head unit sub woofer control works accordingly.
