Issues with setting up my SOUND

Hi Guys,

not sure why this happening but my stereo works fine but when I select the SOUND option it takes me to the correct screen but my I can't see all the option (Bass, Balance, Center are no where to be seen) I do see Treble, Fader, and something called ALANC? its like part of the options are hidden. When I try to select the treble option for example nothing happens.

Has any had this type of issue? Is there a way to reset the system maybe?

Its so frustrating when these issues arise, any help again would be appreciated.

thanks

You could try resetting by pulling the radio fuse but you will need your radio code and nav code. I do not think this will fix your issue - a dealer vist may be in order to have it 'officially' diagnosed.

I spoke to the delearship where I bought my RL and they said for Stereo issues they do not do a check through the diagnostic machine they said I would need to take my stereo system out and they would have to send it out to get checked.

Is this true?

with a lot of electronics, that are not proprietary work (stereos, nav units) the dealerships can't diagnose or repair. The units need to be pulled and sent back to the actual mfg and they quickly replace the failed component part. There is usually a flat rate for the service. I had bought a failed DVD Nav unit which I sent to Alpine electronics and they repaired the unit for $162 including second day air.
