Intrusive Nav voice

I haven't seen any posts about this...does anyone else get annoyed when you're using the nav toggle button to scroll through the XM stations and whenever you stop on one station, the system mutes the music while the nav voice tells you the name of the station you've just scrolled over?

I think that is the most annoying thing in the world!! Does anyone know how to disable the nav voice from muting the music just to tell me the name of the xm station I'm scrolling over??

thanks!

Check your nav manual. There is some setup option for Interface Dial Feedback where you can turn it on, off or have the car determine when it speaks based on some action. I believe it is all or nothing, that is, if you want feedback on Navigation, but not during Audio selection, you are out of luck.

I think there are 2 different set-up options for voice - one controls interface dial feedback (which controls audio) and can be set to "off, auto, on" and the other is for Navi prompting which can be set to "min, med, max".

The controls feedback is annoying as hell. We haven't ever turned it back on.

The frequency (and detail) of nav directions can be set to your preferences as well although in my opinion it either talks too much, or not enough. There's no middle ground.

I leave the control voice on because if I tell the car to set XM channel 46 and she puts the AC on max cool instead, at least I know what the hell got screwed up.
