?????? I don't know of any 05 and up RL that doesn't come with Navi. If your navi is not displaying you may not have a disc inserted in the drive which is located in the trunk.

Acura started offering a non-tech package RL on '07-Current models. I believe these models have the Navi screen, but do not have the system installed on them. You cannot see the maps, but can still use the screen to view other things like temprature controls, radio, etc.

As for the OP...

You may have to purchase the DVD drive that goes in the truck as well as all the installation wires that connect the DVD system to the nav screen. You may also have to purchase wiring to connect to the nav system to the GPS device (The little shark fin thing ontop of the car), unless non-tech RL's come with XM radio, the GPS system may already be installed.

Overall, I don't think it's impossible to do it, but more of a pain and might cost you quite a bit. Best people to ask would be the Acura dealers.

There is a thread on this, with lots of detail, converting a base 07 without navi to navi. The biggest part was changing out the CD player in the trunk to a DVD nav unit which is quite expensive new, but may be available on ebay or from a junk yard much cheaper.
