can a owner of a samsung a990 tell me how you connected to acuralink. what phone options with your carrier so i can connect my phone. this is my new phone i already was able to connect my old phone. so i know the steps but this phone is driving crazy.. help!

If you were able to connect with Verizon Wireless as your carrier, can you please list the steps - it's 2 years that i own my RL and i still cannot connect to Acura Link Server.

Me too. Everytime my car detects my phone I'm asked if I want to 'setup connection with Acura Link Server'. Whenever I attempt to connect It fails?? Then It continues to tell me 'phone detected, would you like to setup a connection with Acura Link'? Setup now or setup later??

 

There could be several reasons for this. First start with your carrier & phone. Verify it is DATA compatable with AcuraLink via the HFL mini-site.

If it is, the RL should identify it when you pair it, ask if you want to establish a datalink.

If it does not complete successfully, consider the following:

Is your RL in a garage or where there is obstructing 'sightline' to the satellites? A clear sightline to the south is needed.

Have you modified the standard data connects with the phone itself? Changes browser settings from the default? Or in my case with Cingular, there is MEdiaNet and Mmode depending on your service. Have you selected the correct one?

Is your phone 'aftermarket' and may not be in the standard carrier configuration? Has it been flashed or needs to be?

If none of these solutions work, I would contact Acura CS and ask for Tech Support. Perhaps contact your Service Advisor for assistance.

 

i had connected with old phone v710 but it stop working had to get a phone. got the samsung a990 due to it supports everything on acura list for rl. i signed up for everything just to connect to acuralink as before but it does not . i put phone in data connect see data come up on phone with modem 14.4 and it try. nothing. i put in my home number to see if it was dailing and it was. i tried everything! does any rl owner have a a990 connected to acuralink
